Dr. Thur and Parktown Veterinary staff are all wonderful. My reason for 9 out of 10 is because I believe my cat Ian would have been calmer and happier if he could have been with me to get his rabies injection and nails clipped rather than taking him to the back alone. From my standpoint, I feel better when I am able to be with my 13 yr. old cat for any services. I will be back to Parktown and Dr. Thur next year only if they will make an exception to the "take him to the back" policy for rabies injection, etc. I should have asked that they do those things in the exam room this year, but did not. I do realize some pets do better with the "taking him to the back" policy, but I don't believe my cat, nor any of my previous cats, do better when away from me for those services.

We recently adopted a puppy from the Humane Society, and Parktown was one of their recommended vets. So we made an appointment with Parktown a few days after puppy came home. Staff were friendly, very professional, and gave our puppy a clean bill of health as well as her next round if vaccines. The vet also took time to answer any questions we had and to provide great feedback and guidance for puppy care and feeding. This very much put us at ease and the positive experience convinced us to make Parktown our primary care for our new puppy. In our most recent follow-up visit, once again the staff were friendly, professional, and answered any questions we had. Even though the staff on this visit were different people, the experience was very consistent with our first visit. I like that they have separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, and though the waiting areas are a fairly small, they are clean and well maintained, and seemed to handle the waiting owners and dogs well. I would not hesitate to recommend Parktown Veterinary Clinic to any dog owner seeking a competent and well run clinic for dogs.

Staff and vets are friendly and easy to communicate with. We get reminders for the annual check up and vaccine updates in a timely manner. Scheduling is fairly simple. Our dog and cat both are always treated well too :)

This is a copy of my review for Parktown Veterinary Clinic, for which this Google Maps entry seems to be a duplicate: I am updating my review, as things have changed for the better at Parktown with regard to their management of their client volume. When I called two weeks ago to book my dog's annual exam, the call was managed by an automated system that was actually very good, and was able to schedule my appointment and make a note about refilling my dog's prescriptions. I then asked to be connected to a human to ask a few questions, and was able to speak to a staff member immediately, probably because a large volume of routine calls were being managed by the automated system. On the day of the appointment, my dog was seen by the vet promptly after checking in. The staff are polite and helpful, and the vets are caring and competent. My previous complaints were about the processes and efficiency, which have all been addressed now.

I had a great experience with Dr. Thur and Emily the vet tech at Parktown. They helped me made decisions about vaccinations and made recommendations for flea treatments and diet issues for my two kittens. My kittens were very calm and liked them a lot, so you know they treated them really well. I highly recommend both providers.

Our experience with Parktown has been very good! Dr. Goulart has always given us sound advice and they're quick when it comes to refills for seizure meds for our cat! We've never had a problem with scheduling our appointments through the online platform either. Thanks Parktown staff!

I am happy that I gave the clinic another try, finding Dr. Goulart was a very wonderful experience, and she was very kind and listened to my concerns, as well as very compassionate. The clinic is out of my area but the drive was worth it. The Vet Techs and the counter staff are very fun, kind and empathetic as well. I am a happy camper and so is Kitty.

Dr. Amy Long and all of the Parktown staff are pretty darn amazing. I can not say enough great things about them. You just have to try them for yourselves, you won't be disappointed!!!!! All of our girls just love them.

Parktown Vet has been our care provider since we got our first pup 9 years ago. The whole time they’ve provided solid care and kindness to our fur babies without upselling or price gouging. Everyone on their team wants the best for your pet and it shows. I feel really fortunate that I found such reliable veterinary care early on in our life with our pups.

Me and Macaroni absolutely love ParkTown Vet! they made Mac feel right at home, specialized a vaccine plan that worked for my little French bulldog and even suggested a local groomers for my guy to try out. We love this place, and it will be our go-to vet
